Detachment Presents Certificates of Recognition to Area Venturing Scouts

The Marine Corps League has always been a strong supporter of the Scouting Program and through its Award

Certificates have proudly recognized the Scouting accomplishments of America’s future leaders.  In 1998, Scouting

implemented the Venturing Program for young men and women in the 14 through 20 year age group.  Through the

efforts of local Keystone Area Council Scouter and PA MCL Detachment Scouting Coordinator – Tom Minchin –

Certificates of Recognition were approved to recognize the accomplishment of Venturing Scouts.

On July 31, 2004 an historic entry was be made in the “Duty Log” of the Marine Corps League and Scouting.  Five

area Venturing Scouts were presented Venturing Certificates of Recognition.  These Scouts will be the first to receive

and Detachment 524 the first to present these Certificates  of Recognition – ANYWHERE!!

Kudos – Venturers;  Bravo Zulu - Detachment 524.
